Hi, I'm new to this community and thought I'd introduce myself. I've been reading recent posts and learned a lot already.

I'm a mass communications major in Tennessee. I've taken German for three years and tested on an "intermediate" level in that language, but I only started teaching myself Russian last week.

I'm going to Russia in August to work for 9 months in an orphanage in or near Zaoksky. If anyone could give me some specific information about Russian orphanages or about the town of Zaoksky, that would be great.

Meanwhile, I'll just work on learning the cyrillic alphabet and some vocabulary. :)
