Hi, my name is Maria & I just found this community... I am a college sophomore who attends school in Nashville, TN. My major is English, but I recently added a minor in Russian. I start my first Russian class in the fall. I know this is going to challenge me at every turn, but I'm so excited about learning the language. The country and history and literature have fascinated me for a long time, so I'm really anticipating being able to take classes for it. And a year from this August I plan on going to Moscow to study for a semester. When I graduate college, I plan on working in Russia as a teacher for a few months at a time.

I don't pretend to know an incredible amount about Russia, but I long to learn as much as I can. Any wisdom would be much appreciated. Thanks!
