Hello everyone. I am a Russian Studies major at my university, and I thought this group could be quite useful and interesting. I am looking forward to meeting some new people with similar interests and perhaps get/give some help as well!

i just wanted to post and say hi since it appears you've posted on both this and the linguifiles community, which i love. and i'm also a russian major. and i go by the name Zvezda in class.. you sound a lot like me!

Hey! What a neat coincidence. I really like the word "zvezda." I am kinda weird like that. I am going to add you to my friends list. I hope that is ok. I'd like to get to know a kindred spirit a bit better :)

No problem! Zvezda is a really good word.. I picked it up as a name when i was in Macedonian last summer, but they've got an extra sound to it-- Dzvezda.

well, i'm doing independent study on my own. really i like russian culture a lot, so i thought that i'd try to learn about the language. i live in st. louis, but i don't know of any universities or colleges that teach it.

that's one of my goals...find a place where i can learn russian and [perhaps another place where i can learn] t'ai chi.
