russian classes in new york

i'm moving to new york for a year to work on my dissertation research, but that means i'll be away from my university while i still need to brush up on some language skills for my degree requirements. in particular, i'm working on russian for reading. i've looked around the websites for some of the new york community colleges and haven't found one that offers russian. does anyone have a suggestion as to where i can get some moderately affordable language classes or tutoring in either manhattan or brooklyn?
