When to use "более" instead of a comparative adjective? Or is the comparative adjective always used instead?

Hi! I am soooo happy that this community exists... I am trying to improve my written Russian, so I too have an online journal dedicated to writing in Russian... So, if anyone wants to check it out and give me advice on how to write better, I'd appreciate it. I've been friending some of the others I've been seeing on this list too - it helps me to read other journals and the advice people are getting for them.
