200|по встречной
Jun. 28th, 2003 12:54 amA recent post reminded me of a question that I had even before I was interested specifically in Russian: The Russian pop duo Tatu's album is called 200|по встречной which is transltated into English (this is off the top of my head, it could be wrong) as 200 kilometers per hour [km/hr] in the wrong lane. How can the Russian title be only three words long while the English one is eight?! Keep in mind I'm a newbie and know hardly anything about the specifics of Russian grammar. Also, how do you say "200" ?
