Ok, just one more question.
I am choosing between читать and перечитывать:
Я повесть этот читала/перечитывала наверное десять раз и его герои стали мне родными.

Читала is neutral, saying that you've read the book so many times. It doesn't imply you liked or disliked it, or any other reason you read it several times - maybe your teacher made you read it.

Перечитывала sometimes, but not always, suggests that you read it so many times because you liked it and wanted to return to the book again and again.

And "повесть эту" instead of "этот" :)

It's simple. Перечитывать means read again. In that case both variants are ok.

"повесть" is a feminine noun.

"перечитывала" looks more suitable - you have re-read that novellette from start to end ten times, just for enjoyment. Usage of "читала" seems not to mean complete reading: "я десять раз брала повесть с полки и читала её, но каждый раз не могла прочесть больше нескольких страниц" - "I took the novellette from the bookshelf for ten times, but hardly could read more than several pages".

"раз десять" - such position of numeral means its proximity, your estimate of that number is evidentally not precise.

commas around "наверное" isolate that parenthesis, comma before "и" separates the simple senteces in the compound one.

"Перечитать" may also mean the request to read again with the purpose to check or confirm something. "Перечитай пьесу, и ты увидишь, что автор не любит своего героя"; "Откупори шампанского бутылку иль перечти "Женитьбу Фигаро"" (Пушкин, "Моцарт и Сальери").

I would say "я читал десять раз" means that one read a text 10 times with no changes in his mind or approach (just to re-fresh it in memory), while "перечитывал" normally means that the person was able taking a fresh look due of changes in the life-experience.

One could just read a text twice, or re-read it second time to re-think the content. Some great book should NOT be read just once.

Please pay attention to the nouns' gender. You could also change the order of words to make this sentence less emotional.

«Перечитывать» means «to read again». Strictly speaking, all the readings but the first one could be referred to as «перечитывать». But again, both verbs could be used in this situation with virtually the same meaning, and the subtle difference would be that when somebody says «перечитывал», it usually means something in his mind was changing from one reading to another, while «читал» doesn't have this implication and probably even means that the reading didn't have any effect on reader's mind. But this is the usual difference between imperfective and perfective verbs, I suppose.

Запятая после "наверное" однозначно нужна, это сложносочинённое предложение.
И перед тоже нужна, поскольку это вводное слово (в значении "по всей вероятности", "по-видимому").
