It's correct, but it will look kinda like "dnw" upside down, when the arm is not in a right position for the viewer.

Миру мир! would be much better.
Because мир has two meanings in Russian: "peace" and "world".

Yeah, "миру мир" is a slogan that means "peace to the world".

Actually, I believe, the space station МИР could be treated as the third meaning. :)

The mentioned slogan "Миру - мир!" is too popular slogan of the communist times, so be careful - it could be viewed very ironically by some Russians.

The point is that in Russia people with text tattoos are often considered to be criminals.
Be aware of that.

It's okay for UPPER CASE.

Be careful!

Rusian criminals understand "МИР" like acronym
Меня
Исправит
Расстрел.

It's means "the shooting will correct me"

come on people! do you really think she's gonna meet russian crimanals one day?! and, if she is, are they really so stupid to think that american girl's made a tattoo with criminal meaning?

okay, we're too concerned about our soviet past and try to avoid every symbol of it but for foreigners it might be sorta funny and unusual, huh?

She want to get "pretty criminal" Russian tattoo on "pretty criminal" place. Tattoo is permanent image. The world is small and she has a non-zero chance to meet russian crimanals one day. The Russian criminal Low is still very strong. So consequences are unpredictable.
