Hi everyone, my name is Amanda and I'm a second-year Russian student at the University of Illinois-Chicago. We have these skits we must write and perform in each chapter, and since we're coming up on the end of our required Russian courses (unless you're like me and want to continue), we want to go out with a bang. My friend and I are writing an honest-to-goodness mini-play.

There is one line, though, that we are having trouble translating:

"It's like the show "Friends," only it still isn't funny!!!"

If we could get some help on that, I would greatly appreciate it. This is a really wonderful group and I've learned some great things from it. Again, thanks so much!

it's difficult to translate without knowing what are you talking about. Is that a different show ot a situation?

still - "все еще", "пока еще"

It's the show "Friends," in the episode where Ross and Rachel get drunk and accidentally get married in Las Vegas.

I think in this case you can say "Это как в сериале "Друзья", только все равно не смешно!" ("все равно" means something like "all the same" - sometimes it would be translated as "still"). But if you can sacrifice your "still" here, I'd say the first comment here answered the best. It's simple, funny and makes sense.
