I have two questions this time!

1) Where can one buy books in Russian? I am interested in online shops either in Russia or other Russian speaking countries that ship abroad (and preferrably, that you know are reliable) or shops in the US, UK or wherever that also ship abroad but who carry books in Russian. I'm not very very picky and what I look for is mostly classics (Russian ones and translations of western ones).

2) I'm on a hunt for the audio for Грозовой перевал, to download. If anyone know of any sites with lots of audibooks, I'd really appreciate to have the link :) Or, if someone would be kind enough to help me find it. I've found one version, but it doesn't seem to correspond to the text I have.

I actually found quite a few books in Russian on amazon.co.uk. Including one with both the Russian and the English (which I was so close to buying, but my student loan screamed NO at me. *sadface*)

Also, most good university bookshops in the UK should have some (depending on their language department, I s'pose - as my university doesn't do Russian, so doesn't have any, but the one in my home city does, so has loads), but I dunno where you are, so that might not be a help.

That one (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Russian-Stories-Dual-Language-Books-Struve/dp/0486262448/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1205318074&sr=8-9), which is all short story goodness. Because I do love Pushkin and Tolstoy's short stories.

Aaaaaaaah, I see.

My friends and I use http://www.ozon.ru.
There are a lot of books there and it looks quite reliable.
However, the website is in Russian only.

+ 1. I use it from the States, and it takes them up to a month and a half to deliver the books here, but they have yet to fail me. Shipping time to Norway may be a little less.

project Gutenberg has some audiobooks in Russian that you can download:
Human-read - http://www.gutenberg.org/browse/languages/ru

To buy audiobooks - http://www.bukinist.com/ShowCatalog.aspx?c=0.04.06
Also I do not know how reliable they are.

www.russiandvd.com is a great site for stream audio books for children, some of which you can find quite interesting as well since the best classic literature has been turned into audibooks for children: http://www.russiandvd.com/store/audio.asp?genreid=1001&bandid=&orderby=0

You can also order these books later if you like it after listening and the place is very reliable, they ship from the US.

You are welcome.
On the other hand, you can easily download Russian classic literature from http://www.lib.ru/ and train your computer to read it to you in Russian. These days, computer-generated audio texts are not too bad.

http://www.ruslania.com. They ship from Finland, I've had about 10 shipments from them so far and they are very fast and reliable. Their catalogue currently lists about 12000 books.

I've had 3 shipments from http://www.ozon.ru/ so far. They arrived in about 2 months from ordering, so this is not my favourite seller. But they have a great assortment of second hand books, so when I need folklore stuff, I turn to them.
