what does the word неймется mean?

i understand the usage (мне/тебе/ему и т.д.) and that it is a defective verb, i just don't really see the nuance of the meaning

is it like 'can't sit still' or 'is worried'?

yeah it's like "мне неймется" - "I can't get enough of it" "я устроился на работу, женился, купил квартиру, машину, а мне все неймется - чего-то не хватает" - "I get a job, get married, bought an apartment, a car, and still can't get enough - something is still missed"

This word is used in slightly negative meaning. It means, that somebody has not enough patience or prudence to stop him from doing something unwise.

Yes, it means can't stop doing something/think about something, can't calm down/is anxious, both things at the same time. I guess it's somehow derived from "не униматься", made impersonal, highly irregular/defective and got this slightly negative connotation compared to the synonyms.
