I have a midterm in my Russian class and one of the questions I could be asked pertains to my class schedule.

How would I express that I have a class at a certain time? I can't imagine it would be as simple as using есть but correct me if I am wrong. I'm sure there are lots of ways, but I just want to know the most common, or simplest... Thank you in advance.

Being that I already had previous knowledge of Russian I did not start at my university's beginning level Russian where this was covered and the textbook is of no help either. I would be grateful for any help that anyone has to offer.

And you can substitute some class for занятия?

The word "class" is one of so-called "translator's false friends". In Russian, класс means either classroom, or school grade. Class, as in "I have German class at noon," in Russian is занятия.

I'm aware what занятия is, I just need to describe my whole schedule so using занятия for everything wouldn't work. I need to be more specific and wanted to make sure the grammar checked out.

класс also means group of pupils

Yes, but this is harder to explain to Americans, as their edicational system is different (after all, we also cannot get why the same American high school students can attend different classes (занятия по предметам) with different students in attendance each time.)

Занятия is quite universal -- it can mean both "a certain class" and "my whole schedule." For example:
I have a Russiian class at noon. - В 12 у меня занятия по русскому.
Where have you been all day? In the classes? -- Где ты был весь день? На занятиях?
