Almost literally - "Смерть, а не бесчестие".
But to me "Честь дороже жизни" ("Honor is more important than life") would sound better.

Hi, i'd suggest using verb "die" instead of noun "death" in translation "Умереть, не дожидаясь бесчестья",

Um, does it really mean better death than dishonor? Because to my mind comes another possible interpretation: death followed by abuse of corpse. Dunno, maybe I'm taking "before" too literally in the context...
