Does anyone recognize this quotation? It's from Solzhenitsyn's "Gulag Archipelago," and I'd like to read the original Russian.

"If only there were evil people somewhere insidiously committing evil deeds, and it were necessary only to separate them from the rest of us and destroy them. But the line dividing good and evil cuts through the heart of every human being."

It is exactly the same in English: black can be a synonym for evil, dirty, harmful, boding ill, illegal, disgraceful, disastrous, sinful etc. (as seen e.g. in http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/black)

Dont listen to anyone, Solzhenitsyn is a wonderfull autor, but "Gulag Archipelago" is "ustarel". Even Solzhenitsyn agree with this. Now he says that his straggle at least brought a lot of evil to russian people.
