I feel like an idiot, but I am a mere second-level Russian student. I am nowhere near fluent or able to understand half the Russian I read.

Can someone fluent in Russian please tell me what this (00xyecoc_list) is? He/She/They keep adding me and taking me off... And I can't really read what the info or posts say to any great understanding. =;_;= Is it a good thing that they add me? Why do they take me off and put me back on all the time?

Also, random Russian journalers keep adding me as friends, and a lot of them seem to be fellow friends of this giant 00xyecoc_list. What does this MEAN?

And why am I being added? Is it because of the...sliver of Russian writing I have in my profile? (Which basically just says what my nicknames online are in very basic Russian.)

I just want to know if this is good or bad. =;_;=

And that (http://www.livejournal.com/userinfo.bml?user=olhsansky)olhsansky (http://olhsansky.livejournal.com/) is also, most likely, some malicious typosquatting clone (virtual identity) specially crafted to pretend that it's (http://www.livejournal.com/userinfo.bml?user=olshansky)olshansky (http://olshansky.livejournal.com/)'s LJ, and thus to confuse LJ readers.

Basically, yes, as it's obviously linked with the community around this bot. But it's really worth it if someone start trolling in your journal, otherwise you can just forget about them.

PS: From the profile it looks like the user was created to mock well-known journalist and political observer Dmitry Olshansky olshansky.

mithgol is known to most Russian LJ users as the programmer who knows how to keep away crowds of cloned flooders; whether particular LJ users like or dislike mithgol, depends basically on their involvement in aggressive flooding in other people's journals.

IMHO mithgol's opinion is usually worth considering in what concerns protecting your journal.
