I'm looking for information in two areas:
1. Information about Moscow-based Russian language programs, whether they are reputable and how effective they are. I have heard good things about Pushkin Institute. However, I don't see the posts in this communities' memories.
2. Information about grants particularly designed for studying Russian language abroad. I will have perhaps the equivilant of 1.5 years of Russian this Fall. Any scholarships which are helpful in that area?
My ideal program would have excellent language offerings, but also allow me some time to do an internship in theatre in Moscow.
As may be surmised from this post, I just learned I didn't get a Fulbright to Russia next year and I'm seeking other grants to get to Moscow, both to work in theatre, and to aggressively improve my Russian skills which are my achillies heel.
I will be at Middlebury this summer . . . that will be a start!
