Hey guys. I decided to buy a lap top for my trip to Russia. Unfortunatley, I bought a Macintosh. It's great for personal use but doing things like setting up internet was a big hassle since none of the tech guys at МГУ knew how to configure it. Anyhow, I've already enabled the Russian keyboard for my computer but since I almost always type between Russian and English (in journals, on papers, ect.) I need a hot key similar to the CTRL-TAB setting in Windows. Does anyone know how to do this?? PLEASE help!

it's usually command (apple mark) + space, or you can try command+option+space

shame for MGU guys :)

If you're using 10.4, then you can set the hot key in System Preferences --> Keyboard &Mouse --> Keyboard Shortcuts, under Input Menu.

I use Cmd+' but I don't remember if that's the default or not.

FWIW, the default key setting on Windows machines is NOT Ctrl-Tab, but Alt-Shift. I know this doesn't help you on your Mac, per se, but if you're seeking assistance from others, it may help cut down on the confusion...

The default is Cmd+space, but the hotkey is not enabled by default.

Configure the hotkey to whatever you want. Default is usually cmd + space.
