I Recited my Russian Poem in Class on Friday, and I got my mark back today.
A+!
He said that it was one of the best he'd ever heard.
Which brings me to my next request.
The next poem we need to do is called Парус
I was wondering if anyone knew of an audio file for this poem?

Also, I'm looking for "sweet nothings" that'd you'd whisper into your partner's ear in Russian.
*Blush* Yeah...

~Ryan

Edit: Yeah, the http://max.mmlc.northwestern.edu/~mdenner/Demo/texts/sail.html is too dramatic. It rises and falls too much to be an effective aid. While it's probably doing the poem justice, it's too poetic. Sorry.

I love Парус! I have to do a reading next week too, I'm kind of nervous.

Congratulations!
"Парус" Лермонтова?
In case you don't find a recording I can record it and upload the file.

Seconded. I can do the same - I loved that poem, and I recited it at one competition many years ago...

I didn't really care for that read but then again it's my favorite poem so I'm very protective of it

try this one (http://194.135.19.4/library/lermontov/thesail(1).htm): it is read by a native speaker on a learningrussian website so I assume it is geared towards non-native listeners
it is not as expressive but might be easier to understand
