I was just wondering what the Russian for different music types.
Like Black Metal, Techno, Rock, Industrial.

Style names are generally transliterated, not translated. The only proper translation I can think of right now that's actually used is «новая волна» (New Wave).

хэви метал (for heavy metal; I have never heard "black metal")

but тяжелый рок (for hard rock)

техно
индастриал
поп-музыка or just попса (for pop)

Black metal is usually just "блэк" for insiders. For those listening to "Руки Вверх", it's "черный металл".
