Hello, I've unfortunately taken Russian for all of about one year total, and haven't had the chance to continue studying. Independently studying, while appealing, wasn't really possible at the time. Could someone please donate their time towards translating this song?

Why does something have to be meaningful for one to want to understand it? I think learning a language is best when you try to understand everything, from a food ingredients label to a song which is pure crap. Whether it is deep and intellectually stimulating to a native speaker is irrelevant. The poster just wanted to understand something in Russian, not hear everyone's opinions on the song.

Could you please enlighten us as to what you classify as KSP and pseudo-Russian pseudo-rock. Also interesting why you mention them at all while none has ever said anything like that (apart from Kino). You're just starting a flamewar here.

That said, the author's request was completely legitimate, it's just that not many people can be bothered to translate the lyrics of Ruki Vverkh ;-) Really, this is not an example of good Russian, regardless of whether it's a good dance music.
