why would the school in isreal want to know how well native russian speakers know russian.... if it's an isreali school?

Sorry, my bad. I meant this exams for all pupils, but only russian native speakers can do it good :) I think it's kind of a privilege for not hebrew native speakers to get higher grades for the future Academic studies, the same way other pupils (not hebrew native speakers) can do exams in other languages : amharic, arabic, spanish, yiddish and many more.

Yes, the test looks impressive.
I wonder what do they mean by "постное мясо" (p.6)? It sounds a bit like "non-alcholic vodka", since "постная пища" excludes ANY kind of meat. And what should be its antonim, "скоромное мясо"? Funny.
I suspect they ment "kosher", but it is not the same as "постный".

постное мясо = нежирное мясо
(it is lean meat, not lenten meat - it is just another meaning of the word постный)
