how would you translate "The Museum of Science." It's the official name of the place. Would наука be in the genitive? This is my best guess: музей науки. thanks.

"Science" in US means primarily "natural" science: Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Astronomy, etc. It's more like "technology".

In Russia "science" includes all type of knowledge: History, Philosophy and everything else, so "Музей науки" sounds too abstract.
At least I do not know any one like this in Russia. Do you?

The closest I could think about is "Политехнический Музей", the one in Moscow it almost identical to "Franklin Institute, Science Museum" in Philadelphia.
