Hello.

How do you say "Only asking - no need to be rude!" in Russian?

Thanks :)

Без грубостей - я просто спрашиваю!

Я просто спросил. Хамить необязательно.

сердиться is very much different from "to be rude".

If you asking for something:
Не надо грубить, я Вас всего лишь попросил(а).

if you asking a question:
Не надо грубить, я Вас всего лишь спросил(а).

Просто вопрос, ничего личного.

As you can see there's a bunch of different ways to say that in Russian :)) [livejournal.com profile] russian_bob's and [livejournal.com profile] mustangostang's versions seconded; [livejournal.com profile] helios256's is a less literal translation but also possible (and very expressive;-))

No, сердиться means to be angry. You can be angry without being rude. (E.g. you can be angry and totally silent.) And I think neither of these words has anything to do with a pig - why such an idea?

Oh, I see. No, there is no connection. The most common Russian word for pig is свинья (clearly related to English "swine").
