The problem is that Russians cannot understand this properly either. :-)
These are notes to "Нецкэ" (I have no idea how to translate this), I guess.

"Нецкэ" is a king of statuette, wich has come from the East(China or Japan).
They believes they brings lucky and richness to their owners.
Each of them brings different blessing.

Number 21 helps to understand some Buddhism valuables.
51 one helps to understand how one can live long using Buddhism.

Нецкэ (根付) is written in Latin letters as netsuke. (Japanese doesn’t have a plural marker, not on nouns at least, and in English you use the same form for singular and plural.)

Here’s a Wikipedia article about them, although the ones I’ve seen don’t look anything like a button; they’re just small sculptures (maybe 4cm≈2in tall) designed to sit on a shelf somewhere. The Wikipedia article has links to http://www.netsuke.com/ and http://www.netsuke.org/, both of which have photos.
