Russian Music
Feb. 23rd, 2005 11:33 pmNot directly having anything to do with this community, but I promise it's worth it! Some friends of mine and I run an mp3 rotation community, where we each basically recommend songs to the public and post links to download them (which you are technically not supposed to really keep on your computer, but oh well).
I just finished posting my update for this week, and about 80% of the songs are from a Russian band. I'd like to point the learners (and heck, the fluent ones too ^_^) in this community over there so that you guys can all check out the band. It's called Ничья, which I'm sure someone here has heard of. I posted about 6 or 7 songs from their CD, and I figured that some of you would like to listen to Russian music.
Personally, I feel that music always helps me learn a language. It helps just hearing it, getting used to the sounds, and is a fun way to do so too! This might just be because I'm a somewhat music-oriented person, but I still think that being exposed to Russian through pop culture is a great tool for learning. (plus its just plain good music lol).
Hope you all enjoy ^_^
