For those who miss the genuine sound of real Russian speech :), there are radio stations streaming over the Web. Try Эхо Москвы since it's more a news/talk station, so they speak there a lot: live; news-on-demand. The later is more useful because it's news which you can read along with the listening.

In live section, there are streams for Winamp and for Windows Media Player. Latest news section has only a Winamp stream.
They also claimed that it was playable by Real Player, but I haven't tested it.

I recommend news/talk rather than music radios, because I'm quite biased towards learning the language through songs. A nice supporting mean, but can't work as the main tool, I'm sure. Years of careful listening to the Beatles left me totally unprepared to real English speech. The encounter was quite rude :))))

Of all those listed there, I would recommend Радио Маяк (http://www.radiomayak.ru/), Говорит Москва (http://www.govoritmoskva.ru/) and Радио России (http://www.radiorus.ru/). This is NOT because they are really cool and trendy and so on, but because they are news/talk radios. BTW wolfie_18, the 1st and the 3rd speak in quite a lot slower tempo than Эхо Москвы, partly because those are nationwide government-owned channels whose audience consists not only of native Russian speakers -- all other nations of Russia are supposed to understand them as well, that's why they do speak quite slow. I mean, it might be easier for you to pick up words and sentences from Radio Rossii rather than from Ekho Moskvy.

sorry to intrude here, but i've been sneaking around this community for a while - it's fascinating to read, and finally a topic came up where I feel that i have something worthwhile to say:
I run the only russian-language children's on-line radio station. It's available 24x7 (assuming my internet connection doesn't die), and playlist includes over 350 hours of materials. Mostly it's old russian children's stories digitized from vinyl LP's, as well as many children's songs. (Those of you who grew up 'there', as I did - 'happy' (if it can be called that) nostalgia for your childhood...) While many tracks that I play are songs (where they speak pretty fast), some are literary readings, and sometimes even readings for the very small children, where major brakes are applied to the speed. Some are meant to be 'бабушкины сказки", as if your grandma was reading them to you at bedtime.
Check it out, might be on par with other radio stations mentioned here in terms of educational goals:
