I am really tired of telling people "хорошо" and "отлично" and "конечно" all the time to show a sign of approval and/or me really liking whatever it is they said/mentioned/requested.

What are the Russian words for phrases such as "cool!" and "awesome!" and "Ok..." and "amazing!"?

Oh, and when is действително preferred over очень? I, not being used to speaking, would say "Я очень люблю эту книгу," for example. Would it also be appropriate to say "Я действително люблю эту книгу?"

And a spelling question: It's "хороший мужик," right?

I think хорошо is the Russian word for "okay," but I could be wrong.

and, my personal favorite,
супер...

Действительно and очень are not quite the same.

действительно means "truly".
So it's like "I most definitely like this book." I don't know if that's what you're going for.

Hm... I didn't know that was used as "definitely!" I remember that word, I think it's spelled обязательно... although I always freaking forget to put that ь. Grrr...

"Ладно" is a neutral, slang-free word.

прикольно may have a lot of meanings, e.g. "funny".
Клёво sounds slightly outdated.
класс, классно - some think it's outdated, I don't feel so.
"супер" is modern slang, but many (including me :) don't like this word.
Some other "slangish" ways to say "cool!" or "awesome!" are: круто! зашибись! отпад! улёт! (some may think some of these are outdated too, but it's arguable); офигительно! (this is used to express the highest degree of delight or admiration)

очень is a plain intensifier -- 'very'. действительно is 'really' in the sense of 'actually':
-Я люблю эту книгу.
-Ты врешь! Ты ее ненавидел.
-Нет! Я действительно люблю эту книгу!

can you give some more context for what kind of words you're looking for in that area?

things like the above or simply 'так' or 'понятно' perhaps? i guess i'm not quite sure where you're going, it seems like the slangier things mentioned are for a different context.

There's a nice word "клёво"!

This word is close to "классно":

Ух ты, чёрт! классно!

Which is close to "круто", but "круто" is more... how to tell you... "рррр"! :)

Мда, кррруто!

Amazing is "удивительно"... but with slightly different meaning, more literary:
Удивиииительно!

There also are such words as "превосходно!", "восхитительно!", though they're more dry than the short words.

Well, there's one more word: "браво!" It means that you liked something the person you're talking to has done.

Клёвое сальто! Браво!


P. S. If you really really liked how the person does the things:

"(Ну ты и) монстр!" "Ну ты и чудовище!"
~ Wow, you're awesome!

Of course, the person should've some sense of humor to appreciate the phrase. :)
