such dialogues sound so much sillier in english.
i found a beginning english book for russians with similar dialogues. it provided an afternoon of entertainment.

huh, funny
it seems, estonians are everywhere -) beware! they've already conquered your textbook!

actually, there's no need for albanians in this lesson. "estonians" would make more sense considering political situation in the country :D

That is precious. I didn't think we Albanians would be included in ANY textbooks, let alone a Russian one. :)

But there is no mistakes in lessons, it is real russian lessons. Stupid doesn't mean "bad" :)

It's sort of a nice joke. Must see for everyone who learn russian.

It’s supposed to be stupid. The whole book is full of sentences like “Некультурные люди курят в троллейбусах и никогда не моются” and poems like

У Блинского море он плачет от горя,
Но в Лондонском морге он просто в восторге.

That’s why my vocabulary is so incredibly peculiar.

Unfortunately some language teachers for foreigners compile completely dull lessons and examples. In articular this lesson's conversation is impossible among russian speakers. It's not only absurdic and stupid it's also linguistically doubtful. Good language teacher always finds real examples (from books, newspapers, etc.) so he/she don't need to invent linguistic monsters like a lesson above.

Come on, this is a FAKE textbook intended to make FUN. It is quite well-known in Russia. Believe me, no one thinks it is a REAL textbook. It is a JOKE.

Beleive me I saw several very real textbooks which are not much better than this one. Some lazy and stupid language teachers sometimes compile total nonsense.

I would love to remind that the working language of this community is English, and if you write something in Russian here, you are expected to provide an English translation as well, since those who [livejournal.com profile] learn_russian here are mostly in a quite early stage of their study.
