It's very simple, easy easy to remember (i used to be able to recite entire poems) and as anti-west, anti-capitalist and anti-american as you can ask for.

Oh here's one movie. "Праздник Святого Йоргена" - an anti-religious musical comedy from 30-s. It's incredibly ridiculous, but it's fun.

I don't think it's 'dirt' because I don't make any kind of judgment about it, I'm just curious. I grew up in the US, with movies that are total propaganda, but not knowing it really. Just that the Russians were usually trying to blow things up for no reason. So, it's pretty fascinating for me to see about the Russian side of things. I will be very excited when I can have enough knowledge to read say, detailed histories of the Cuban Missle Crisis from the Russian point of view.

Didn't really want to be rude. I only think the US part is much more credible anyway.

Well, 'Russian side' will be somewhat different for each Russian person, I mean the side of the government. Maybe I can state it better like, 'I know how Russians were protrayed by Americans at the time, and I'm curious to see how Americans were portrayed.'

It's quite funny, but first phrase I could remember was:

The meaning of the last line depends on where you put the comma ;)

There is one more variant - with full stop after приходит and буржуй treated as a signature ;-)

History has it now, not me. As easily one of the most important events of the last century, in terms of shaping the world as it is now, it will never stop being analyzed, I don't think.

There is nothing to be happy about, anyway. Would you like to be congratulated with an anniversary of the Holocaust if you were Jewish?

Oh, "Circus" from the 1930s is a great propaganda film. it even has Stalin in it.

This could just be complete bs, but:
my friend from Russia, who moved here within the past two years, tells me that Russians no longer celebrate the october revolution.

I remember fom my childhood muti-episode movies about spies: "Возвращение резидента"(The return of the [inteligence] resident), "ТАСС уполномочен заявить" ("TASS would like to make a statement", TASS=the telegraph agency of the Soviet Union). Sorry that my translations of the titles are very approximate. I do not know the best anti-phrase, but here is one example:
"Дадим отпор агрессивным проискам НАТО!" (Let's push back the agressive actions of NATO!)

I fully understand your interest, it is impossible to get the history without multiple perspective. And if we can not smile on our history, then it is not over yet.
