And it gets easier, because most of the difficult stuff is solved in the beginning.
Some interesting stuff:
The Swedish word for forest - skog is not quite the same as Russian лес. Лес is more like ocean or sea - it's boarders are unclear, while the Swedish word Skog is more like a field or a big lake. Ok I exaggerate a bit but there is such a difference. I

n the book she finds a роща and for starters I translated it as dunge - it is what I have been taught and what the dictionary says. But after awhile it became silly - she was walking around in it, she got lost in it, and a dunge is only like 200 times 200 meters, at most. So I had to change it into "small forest" wich sounds better in Swedish. It is interesting how geography and culture affects the meaning of even the most simple words like forest, house, chair, tree or what ever. Even they are not exact synonym s between languages ;)
